Tajel Patel, from San Jacinto, decided to try her luck in a slot machine at the Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa. She chose the Wheel of Fortune slot machine and wagered $100 and just when she thought she had lost her money, Patel hit the $2.5 million jackpot.

The Wheel of Fortune machine is part of a progressive system, which links several machines in various Indian casinos across the country. This system allows to increase the amount of the jackpot.

The IGT Company that manufactures the Wheel of Fortune has informed in a press release that Ms Patel’s win has brought the system’s total jackpot payouts to more than $1 billion.
